5 DAY CHALLENGE
Over the past year and a half we’ve being shaken up. And in the shaking, we’ve been invited into a major moment of new possibility. Of a new choice. We have the opportunity to shift long-seated behaviors and patterns that have not been serving us. We have the opportunity to grow a new foundational way of operating. We have the opportunity to give ourselves what we all need deep down: a sense of belonging and connection.
This challenge will give you skills to practice cultivating connection and belonging within. We’ve long been taught from our society that our sense of belonging comes from the outside. That in order to belong, we must fit in. That finding true connection means reaching outside of ourselves. We must have the certain product. We must look a certain way. We must believe a certain ideology.
But this couldn’t be farther from the truth.
In her research, Brené Brown has found that true belonging is actually the opposite of fitting in. And that “because true belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world, our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance.”
In order to nourish that deep hunger that drives so much of our consumeristic habits, that drives a sense of loneliness, and that drives so many acts of hate, we have to tune into and tend our internal landscape again. And in order to do so, we have to cultivate a foundation of self-acceptance, self-love, and self-knowing.
The purpose of this challenge is to open the doors of belonging for you. To instill practices that cultivate self-acceptance. To help you find that sense of easeful peace within you. To build a foundation from where true healing arises. From where you can find connection and meaning within your life. From where you continue to open to yourself, over and over again, inviting a richer knowing of yourself, a self that’s in authentic relationship with the outer world.
Because we’re not isolated individuals, but a part of an intrinsic whole, this challenge will also help you land yourself within the fabric of the natural world, providing a landscape for you to sense your belonging inside of.
This challenge will help you align with your inner authenticity. It will help you feel more at peace in your body. It will help you gain more self-understanding and self-compassion. It will help you create a container to hold yourself within as you walk through your days.
This is for anyone looking for a greater sense of belonging or connection within themselves. It is for anyone on a healing path or looking for a doorway into your healing journey. It is for heart-based, sensitive, or empathic souls. It is for anyone feeling lost or anxious. And it is for anyone looking for footing within a chaotic, changing world.
By the end of the challenge, you will have a better understanding of your inner landscape and be able to hold yourself with more compassion and understanding. You will learn how to support yourself and be able to call on the wisdom of the natural world to bolster your healing and sense of belonging in relationship to the external.
Each day you will be taught or guided in a practice to help solidify a growing sense of connection and belonging within. The practices shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to complete, and range from guided meditation to journaling to simple actions.
Forming relationship with your Body.
Uncovering what’s in the way of you feeling enough.
Finding a stone, plant, or place ally to support you.
Developing relationship with an element of nature.
Cultivating a daily connection practice.
The more we move towards connection with our bodies and the earth, the more we move into greater understanding of wholeness, inter-being, and true healing. So I invite you to take this challenge on with your whole heart. It is one of the most important things we can be doing right now. The time is long past now to shift how we relate to ourselves and hence the world around us.
